Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the expectations and responsibilities that apply when you use the Damai Labs website or enrol in one of our courses.

Last updated: May 2025

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Damai Labs website located at damailab.live and your participation in any course or programme offered by Damai Labs. By accessing our website or completing an enrolment, you agree to these terms.

Damai Labs is operated from Jalan Burma 153, 10350 George Town, Penang, Malaysia. If you have questions about these terms, please contact us at [email protected].

2. Eligibility

Our courses are open to individuals aged 18 and above. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We welcome learners from any background — no specific prior experience is required for entry-level courses, though we recommend reviewing each course description to find one that suits where you are right now.

3. Course Enrolment

Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of payment and a written confirmation from Damai Labs. Places in each cohort are limited. Submitting an enquiry or expression of interest does not constitute enrolment and does not reserve a place.

We will make reasonable efforts to deliver the course as described at the time of enrolment. Where minor adjustments to content, scheduling, or delivery format are necessary, we will notify enrolled learners in advance.

4. Fees and Payment

Course fees are published on our website in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are subject to change. The fee applicable to your enrolment is confirmed at the time of booking.

Payment is due before the start of the cohort unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing. We accept payment through the methods listed during checkout. We do not store payment card details on our systems.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that circumstances change. The following conditions apply:

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before the cohort start date — a full refund will be issued, less any applicable processing fees.
  • Cancellation between 7 and 14 days before the start date — a 50% refund will be issued, or you may transfer your place to the next available cohort at no extra charge.
  • Cancellation fewer than 7 days before the start date — no refund will be issued, though a cohort transfer may be considered at our discretion.
  • Withdrawal after a course has begun — we are not able to offer refunds once course access has commenced and materials have been delivered.

Refund requests should be sent to [email protected].

6. Course Materials and Intellectual Property

All course materials — including written content, code samples, slides, video recordings, and exercises — are the intellectual property of Damai Labs or the respective contributing instructors.

As an enrolled learner, you are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use these materials for your own study. You may not share, reproduce, resell, or publish course materials without our written permission.

Work you create during a course — such as projects and assignments — remains yours. We may ask for your consent to reference your work as an example in future course materials, but we will never do so without your agreement.

7. Learner Conduct

We aim to keep the learning environment calm and respectful for everyone. Enrolled learners are expected to:

  • Engage with the course and other participants in a considerate manner.
  • Avoid sharing personal login credentials or allowing others to access the course on their behalf.
  • Refrain from posting harmful, misleading, or disrespectful content in any cohort channel or community space.

We reserve the right to withdraw access from any learner whose conduct is disruptive or harmful, without refund.

8. Availability and Technical Access

We make reasonable efforts to keep course content and platforms available during cohort periods. Scheduled maintenance or unplanned outages may occasionally affect access. We will communicate any significant disruptions to enrolled learners as soon as possible.

You are responsible for ensuring you have a suitable device and internet connection for online learning. We recommend a broadband connection and a modern web browser.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted under Malaysian law, Damai Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or participation in a course. Our liability in connection with any course is limited to the fee paid for that course.

We do not warrant that completing a course will lead to any specific outcome, such as employment or certification. Course completion recognises participation and effort; it does not constitute a formal academic qualification.

10. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the website or its supporting infrastructure. Automated scraping of content without our written consent is not permitted.

Our website may contain links to external websites. These are provided for reference only. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

11. Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using our website or enrolling in a course, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. For significant changes affecting existing enrolments, we will notify affected learners by email where possible.
